Chapter Three

Thoughts rushed through Tony’s mind so quickly; most of them were gone before he could catch hold of them.

As he closed the bedroom door behind him, he took great care to make as little noise as possible. Mr. Mowburrey stood on the other side of the room. Somehow managing to resist the temptation to rush across to him, Tony lowered himself to his knees, folded his hands behind his back and settled down to wait for the dominant to give him an order.

He’d seen other submissives do the same thing so many times—seen men, who knew what they were doing, do it. They’d looked so calm, so serene. But, with his eyes lowered submissively toward the floor, Tony had no idea what Mr. Mowburrey was doing or even where he was in the room, and that made him feel more panicked than he knew was possible.

“I didn’t tell you to do that.”

Tony hesitated, not sure if that counted as an order to stand up.

“Come here.”

Technically, he was pretty sure that wasn’t permission to get off his knees either. And submissives were supposed to pay attention to things like that, weren’t they? Determined not to screw things up before they’d even got started, Tony leaned forward, put his hands on the carpet in front of him and crawled toward the sound of the dominant’s voice.

Finally, Mr. Mowburrey’s shoes entered into his limited field of vision. Tony stopped by the other man’s feet and sat back on his heels, his gaze still firmly fixed on the floor. Barely a moment passed before fingertips came to rest on his jaw and encouraged him to look up at his new master’s face.

“I’ll train you to display your submission in ways that please me soon enough, you don’t have to guess,” Mr. Mowburrey said, his expression still as serious as ever. His hand fell away from Tony’s face. He seemed to think very deeply for a long time. “We’ll start with something I know you’ll enjoy, something you’ve already been quick to show me you’re good at…”

When Tony saw Mr. Mowburrey’s hand move toward his fly, he immediately dropped his gaze to track its movements. Some of the tension that had been swirling through his veins eased. Yes, he knew how to do this. And he’d been waiting so long to see what the other man kept hidden away behind his oh-so-sensible suits that—

“No. Look up. Keep your eyes on my face.”

Tony did as he was told. He stared up into the other man’s eyes and feasted on the dominance and possession he saw burning in his gaze. That was easily as beautiful as any cock could ever be.

“Good boy,” Mr. Mowburrey murmured.

Tony’s pulse already raced. He didn’t think it was possible for it to go any faster, but somehow it found an extra gear when that praise reached his ears.

He heard a rustle of fabric and the sound of a zipper being drawn down, but he forced his eyes to stay on the other man’s face.
